Red Oak is the most common specie of hardwood flooring. In the manufacture of Chelsea Plank Flooring, Frame Hardwoods only use Northern Red Oak grown in Southern Michigan and Northern Indiana.

Red Oak is the most common specie of hardwood flooring. In the manufacture of Chelsea Plank Flooring, Frame Hardwoods only use Northern Red Oak grown in Southern Michigan and Northern Indiana.

Red Oak from that region grows slower than Southern Red Oak, thus offering tighter grain and brighter color.
